so yeah, he has this lump type thing, but there is a small scar right above where the lump is. the lump is not like a knot or circular, but rather it is like the shape of the bottom of a pen. anybody know what it could be, or what i should do?????

Are you sure your description is technically correct? "Elongated lumpy thing"? LOL Just kidding. My wife talks like that all the time.
My Burm has the same thing on his back. I would think if it doesn't get bigger, or is not already abnormally large, it may be scar tissue under the scales and there's nothing you can do about it. Someone else will probably give you a better answer but mine seems to be OK with it.

thanks for the response, just curious though, is the scar tissue under the skin (scales) supposed to be relatively hard. like not as hard as bone, but like cartilage type....???
