hes a beauty....im going to be getting myself a southern when soon enough. how big is he? wut kind of enclosure is he in? how is he as a pet like handling and stuff. ur a lucky person to own such a beautiful animal

He's around 7.5ft now and 2, 3? years old.. IMO a CBB Southern makes a pretty good "pet", but you still have to be aware that the AREN'T ball pythons, and can still deliver a nasty bite. Anubis was my first of 3 scrubs, and was a little POS as a baby.. But you can't be detered by that, and just keep handling them. Now he's a pretty mellow layed back snake, but I still use a hook to pull him out. Right now he's just in a large aquarium, but i'm upgrading to boaphile or visions here soon, as tanks just aren't a good option for large snakes, let alone arboreal ones..

Here's a picture of the only time Anubis has bitten me in his sub-adult life.. Normally, he's the most layed back snake in the world, but on this day, he just didn't want to come off his branches..

OMG--he's gorgeous! I'll bet he just hated to have to give up that tree--he looks like the "picture of contentment" in it!
