I'm wondering what basking temps people are making available to their iguanas (especially those of you that have temperature probes and can accurately read the temperature at the basking site.)
Thanks
Mike

I keep my basking temp at about 100 degrees. They utilize it
often. The surrounding area on their top shelfs ranges from
about 88-90 degrees. Their second shelf ranges about 80
and the bottoms are about 74.
My igs tend to have different preferances to how warm they
like it based on where they are most often basking. My young
ones (Digit and the foster) tend to like a little cooler. My
older not so healthy rescue tends to like temps closer to 100.
Hope this helps
Linda
We keep Iggi at 88-95F. We are now using an IR thermometer, since she is a free roamer. We use it to check her bath water in the mornings too.
