What is some good cage furniture

drykilllogic83 Oct 02, 2004 10:32 PM

My red tegu is now in a 6X 3 X 4 two-story cage and it is boring to look at it. All I have in her cage is a crap load of bed of beast, a half wood den (that she doesn’t use), and the ladder going to the second floor (which she sleeps under). The bottom floor does not look to bad but the second floor is empty. Does anyone have any advice on what to put in her cage to make it look better? I know I could put one of those big pieces of driftwood in her cage, but I need some other suggestions.
I was thinking about building a planter against the back wall and planting some vines in it. And yeah I know that I am going to have to put some chicken wire or something around the plants to keep them from being destroyed (I learned that the hard way). Well thanks for your suggestions.

Almost anything can be used as furnature. I have some large decorative rocks from outside, disinfected first of course, a "cold tray" from the hospital which is a blue plastic square tray with an opening cut into one side, a piece of bamboo that Tika tries to burrow inder, a Ponytail Palmtree, moss, some grape vines, and some paper bags that are cut open that he burrows under.

I have become a minimalist I have concrete pavers for a basking site. A mortar mixing pan. A feed dish. 3-5 bags of Home Depot landscape mix or cypress mulch. A cinder block.
