WOW those are big!
Just imagine the size of what hatches out of them!
Put me down for one!
Best of luck!

Billy, they look infertile. I have heard of several females laying infertile eggs several times and then the next clutch will be fertile. My ackie group was like that. I think it was because they were first clutches for the females.
Best of luck and remember, she laid in that substrate, don't go turning over the barn.

Congrats again, that is a really cool feat.

Way to go Rope. I understand they are probally infertile but you are on the right track. Good luck and keep it up.
It's not everyday we get to see croc eggs.

Back in the late 90's or so we had a group of 2.3 Salvadorii. These animals were originally wild-caught imports that we acquired at approx. 3' total length. Kept outdoors in very large enclosures they began breeding and laying fertile clutches about 1 year after we purchased them and produced consitently while they resided here. Eventually these animals attained enormous size with El Diablo being over 9' when they were sold off to http://www.tigerhomes.org/animal/other-animals/crocodile-monitor.cfm
Several years ago we discontinued all monitor projects to focus intensively on our tegu projects.

I would not expect them to look any different . The female that laid these eggs did not have enough moisture . I would guess that these eggs were laid on top of the substrate.

No , I have kept any monitors other than albigularis for several years now.
and do you have pictures of the nesting sites????what substraight you used...or any other info would be
I don't have any picutres , the way my lizards nest here usually causes fights on these forums so I don't photo them and post them . We have to do things very differently here than most monitor keepers as we are the only ones that have to deal with 10-20 inches of average monthly rainfall when they lay their eggs . Think compost pile =P
helpful...thanks....billy
