Introducing Mates Problem

GDoyle0523 Oct 03, 2004 10:47 AM

I have just finished the light and heat cycle for my JCPs, and so i introduced them today, but the male seems to be very irritated, and they've only been trying to get out and entangeling with eachother the whole time. The male is already developing a scrape in the nose from rubbing it on the top of the cage. They just don't seem sexually interested. I introduced the Female into the male's tank, was this a bad choice? I was just wondering if this was normal for two newly aquainted mates, or if not then what should I do? Really need help. Thanks

You got two males and they're combatting. I'd double check the sexes of them again. Don't let this go too long as one or both of them could get hurt.

No, one is definitly a female and one is a male. They have actually started to calm down, but i'm not sure if it's because they're tired or because they're comfortable now. Has anyone ever seen this before?
