Best tank heater

I just got my year old res a 120 gallon tank today... now i need to know what the best heater is to use for it. The tank is not going to be filled to the top and i bought a 75 gallon filter, now all i need is the heater....there are so mant what is best??? Please respond soon. i want to get him into his new home asap

My suggestion for a heater would be one that is fully submersible. If it the kind of heater that must be hung off of the top of the tank, that's not submersible. The entire thing should be able to go down in the water. You won't need one rated for the full 120 gal since you aren't going to have it filled to the top. Probably want a heater between 100-200 watts.

Youll have the best luck with turtles with a metal submersible heater. You cant break it even if you turn it up real high and then stick it in cold water. But most importantly, your turtle wont break it and electrocute himself.
