Shed skin on chams head still

veiledchamlver Oct 03, 2004 12:42 PM

My 4 month old veiled chameleon has skin stuck on her head from her last shed which was a week ago. Is there any way I can remove it or do I have to go see a vet about.

You could give her a shower and that might help her finish her shed. Also, fine baby toothbrush could be used to rub the areas gently to remove the skin. Avoid using it around here eyes.

you can dab a natural plant based oil (almond, canola, jojoba) with a q-tip to soften. Also, mist with warm water and keep humidty up then it should come off on its own.
