The homeowner left a message about a water mocasin in their garage. They had closed the garage and vacated the house. I went over and picked up a 3.5 ft banded water snake. It has eaten 3 toads for me. I plan to release it in a favorable habitat soon. The house where I picked it up is surrounded by woods and the man wasn't home this week but told on the phone he had killed at least 6 of the mocasins. I asked him to call me instead of killing them but I don't think he will bother.
