why are rabbit pellets bad as substrate?

can someone give me the pro's and con's of kepping my hatchling sulcata on rabbit pellets? i thought it would be better then snad or soil? any info appreciated! anyother sulcata lovers out there? thnx

There is a big dust factor with rabbit pellets. They also seem to rot or mold very easily. There is a brand of substrate that looks exactly like rabbit pellets but it's compressed saw dust or wood chips. I have used both and really liked the wood pellets over the rabbit pellets. I don't think digesting the rabbit pellets would be harmful, and the wood pellets are made for reptiles and animals and they claim as well that digesting the pellets are not a problem. I can't remember the name of the name of the product, sorry.
