After parasites are gone?

geicogecko Oct 03, 2004 02:45 PM

What is the best thing to feed a gecko when they are done with the treatment of parasites? Mine are still young and need to gain some weight to make up for sick time. Is there any food you would suggest and or gutload for the food?

I would suggest waxworms, they have the most fat content. However I've heard leopard geckos can get "addicted" to waxworms, like a kid to candy or soda. So I would suggest feeding a mix of two to three mealworms to one waxworm. Or two to three crickets to one waxworm.
Also, I can suggest to keep a good mix of gutload - apples, carrots, cucumbers, and just make sure your food is gutloaded and dusted with vitamins until your babies are back to good health!
