I dont where you are located but the shop I go to makes custom tanks (single, racks, shelves, glass, wooden, plastic) and lids. They are in Stanton, California (orange county) (http://www.radical-reptiles.com/ They are very helpful and have everything you need and can answer all your questions.

If you are handy with hand tools and power tools, you can build yourself a nice one for alot less than a custom built will cost. I have one that utilizes 32 qt Sterilite sweater boxes and will house 12 snakes.

I built it out of 2X4's and 3/4" plywood. Probably overkill, and you can build one using 1X2's and 1/2" plywood or even melamine. Can pick it up at Lowes or Home Depot and the Sterilite containers at Target.

For heat I use Flex-Watt heat tape from The Bean Farm www.beanfarm.com.

Use peg board for backing and affix the heat tape to the inside of the peg board running the whole height of the the rack. I have mine running through a rheostat to control the heat. Works Awesome!!!

If ya need directions, go to www.dwightgood.com. He has detailed directions and its pretty easy.

Im getting ready to build my 2nd one probably next weekend!! And Im gonna use the 60qt sterilites for my biggest snakes.

Hope this helps.

Good idea. 100% cheaper. LOL. but.... if your are nearby though you can still have them make sliding screens for the front or whatever your needs are. If you do decide to make one though you can always pre buy your screens and build the tank to fit them.
