My iguana is missing!

seymorspal Oct 03, 2004 08:12 PM

My iguana when i came home today was gone, his cage was normall and the lid seemed untouched. the lid has his lights on it so i don't know how he got out. He is small. He is also my first IG and i don't know how i'm going to find him. Is there any thing i can do to lure him out of hiding? I have got to find him. I think i should change his name also from Seymor to Hudini!!!

Depending on where you're located & the temps at night, you could set up a basking light & a plate of his favorite food near it to maybe coax him out.

You may wake up one morning to find him snoozing under the light.

Oh, I'm sure you know, but look UP when searching for him. Tops of curtains, IN curtains, etc. Tree climbers...LOL

Good luck.

how small is he? i really hope you find him, try looking in warm palces. when i let my igs out they always go the warmest spot. we just moved back to my moms house and had to build a new cage because it wouldnt fit through the door. so one of my igs was free roamin for like 3 days. one day i was looking all over for him. then i looked in my uromastyx tank which had a small hole in the lid. he was in the tank under my uros basking spot. my poor uro was hiding in the corner of the cage staring at the ig with his head cocked to the side. as if sayin "what the heck do you think your doin?"

Brandy, I just read your post and how funny it was. I just love the sideways cocked head look. I can just picture it.
