Overfeed a gecko?

makikato Oct 03, 2004 08:24 PM

Hello,

I posted a message a few days ago about some "bubbles" behind my geckos front legs that I was told were just areas of fat storage and a sign of a well fed gecko.

I was just wondering if you can over feed a gecko - sometimes I feel like I put too many crickets in and the gecko tends to eat a lot and seem kind of bloated (I guess not too much different from us humans?!) - I've figured that a gecko is smart enough to become full and eventually stop eating crickets, as a human decides when they're full... well?

Thanks,
Maki

I would not worry. The Gecko will stop eating when it is full. I would only be concerned about excess crickets harrassing the Crested at night.
