They're pretty much the same snake. Some like to climb more than others but I keep them in a biggre cage so I think thats cool. As a rule, you will find Glades to be very docile and easy feeders. Naturally, like any species or subspecies, some snakes are just a little more testy than others. I have absolutely adored my Glades. Here's an old picture.

what line is your ghost/whitesided/whatever you want to call it?

do you have any more pics of it?

I bought a pair of hatchlings from Dwight Good a while back, and absolutely love them, but i have the hardest time finding pics of adults. I think total, i've seen 6 adults. Two of which were the parents of mine!

I actually got that one at a show for next to nothing. A guy just wanted to move it and he looked wonderful. Unfortunately, I don't have any recent pics. He was one of a couple snakes I lost trying to move cross country. It was a 3-day trip and I lost 3 snakes - apparently from stress. I made sure to keep the temp in the car good around the clock but I lost a few anyway.

My everglades seem to be the most docile of all the obsoletas I have or have had. They are the easiest to handle in my collection. I really like them. They used to be the ones that musked the most, but rarely musk me now. My female is really docile for an obsoleta. Obsoleta temperaments vary and can be the opposite in other collections.

I would like to thank everyone for their replies.

My male CB 04 Everglade rat arrived today from Glades Herp in Flordia. He is a cute little guy who did not seem over stressed from the over night shipping. He took to his new home well. He exlpored all around it then settled in to one of the three hide caves. I waited a few hours and put a pinky at the mouth of hs hide cave and he came out and ate the pinky!. So far so good!
