Do I have to have a heat light. could I have an under tank heater instead. can i make the substare papertowel. How do I make the humid spot in the cage. what should the temps be.

is a cage size of 12 lengthx 7 widthx 10 height okay. for 1 leopard

Hey, Veiled.

You can use a Heat lamp or a UTH(Under Tank Heater_, or even both. If you decide to use both then you should use a lower wattage bulb, like a 25 Watt. If you decide to use a Heat Lamp on it's own, then a 60-75 Watt bulb will do, depending on the over all room temperature. Paper Towel is a great substrate for Leopard Geckos. A humid hide is easily made with a Rubbermaid® Food Container-- Just cut a hole in the side that is about 2" X 2" and fill it with either moist papertowel or moist moss(The kind you get at the pet store). what is a good terrerium size. would a 10 gallon be good for 2 girls.

Well, the general rule of thumb is 1 Leopard Gecko per 10 gallons. Alot of people would agree with me on that one. If you would like to read a detailed caresheet, you can visit my here.
