My leopard gecko is about 5.5" - 6" long. Is that big enough to sex? I don't know it's age at all. Because I think I saw some little bulges under it's tail last night, but I couldn't see any dots. I am going to try to put him in a jar tonight and look under him (so I don't have to turn him upside down) because every time I try to look when he is walking over my fingers he moves so I can't see.

Another question I had is how big a newly hatched gecko is?

Yes, I think your gecko sounds big enough to sex. Some take longer than others to develop pores or bulges so you might have to wait longer. Good luck! Oh yea, your other question was answered above by xelda.

I put it in a glass jar and when I looked I saw no bulges or dots on it. Maybe I was just seeing things.
