hi, i currnetly have a sulcata, a friend of mine has a eastern box turtle and doesn't want it anymore, so i am hoping to rescue it, can any one give me the basic care and info on this turtle

Good for you for wanting to rescue it!
Below is a link to a website that contains lots of great information and should answer many questions for you.
In the meantime, do not house the box turtle with the Sulcata: they have very different needs and could be carrying diseases that would make the other sick.
