How to Handle sav's properly

reptilenick Oct 04, 2004 09:58 PM

ive had my sav for about a year now and he has never really tamed down. this however has not botherd me, but within a years time im going to be at college and my little brother is going to be incharge of him. i would like it for my brother to handle "monty" because he is an interesting animal, but i dont want my brother to get bitten or worse monty to get hurt, do to mishandling. So i was wondering if there maybe a way for taming my lizard down slightly ? please reply with any suggestions i would be very greatful. -nick

Hi Nick,

I understand your concern and have a simple solution. Tell your brother not to handle the animal.

Hope this helps.

Nick, I also believe it would be a wiser choice for both your brother and the monitor to teach your brother how to do maintenance without ever having to handle the monitor. That should eliminate all possibility of your brother getting nailed and/or your monitor getting injured from mishandling. Billy
