unidentified baby snake

krestes Oct 04, 2004 10:35 PM

I bought this baby snake and was told it was a Rusty Kingsnake. I have searched the net and cannot find a Rusty Kingsnake listed anywhere. Could someone tell me if there is such a Kingsnake or help me identify this baby. My pics didn't come out to good but I have more of them. Don't know how to put more than one in a post.
Thank You,
Ken

That is some sort of morph of the Florida Kingsnake (L.g. floridana). I am not familiar with all the FL morphs, but it is certainly one of those.

Post this pic on the Kingsnake forum. There are lots of FL King aficianados there who will recognize the morph. Make sure you ask what morph of FL king it is in the subject line to draw their attention.

it definetly looks like a king.

i may be wrong but it looks like a color morph of the florida king snakd or brooks king snake.

i know with selective breeding they can lighten the pattern.

check it out in the clasafied section under kingsnakes.

look at some of the florida king morphs out there
