What lizard should I get?

I am thinking about to get a lizard to put in a terrarium that measures 28"x16"x12". I am thinking in a 12" to 16" lizard, terrestrial and a handleable and not very expensive one
What do you suggest me?

Ooooo, get a Komodo dragon. They're like puppy dogs. Just kidding. What lizard to get though? Whew, there are many in that size and price range. Better go with temperment. You want a passive lap lizard or an absolute maniac like my red headed agama? He bites and everything!
