I have a captive breed female RETF around 4 years of age. I have had her for 3 years, and with the exception of the first 3 months she has been hand feed either live or frozen/thawed crikets, with weekly to bi-weekly dusting of herptivtite and/or repcal. She is housed in 135 gallon Dutch style vivarium. Temps and humidity stay with in acceptable norms. The tank is well ventilated and UV is supplied for proper calcium metabolism.
For the past week and a half she has refused food, batting it away when offered. This is highly unusal as she has always been a agrsive eater. For the first few days she was slightly lathargic, but nothing outside of her normal range of activity. She has not been bloted, and has shown a normal decrease in wieght coinciding with not consuming food (ie no dramtic change in wiegth). Early last week I started giving her pedalite baths for 15 to 20 minutes every other day. Her level of activty increases, but she still refuses food.
Can someone offer some thoughts as to what the problem may be, and possibly offer a suggeted course of treatment.
