UPDATED PICS..........................STRIPED YELLOWBELLY

JAREDHORENSTEIN Oct 05, 2004 02:59 PM

Well...........she shed and I must say.........this snake has some COLOR!!!!! she is definaetly brighter than when she first hatched......I cant wait to watch her as she grows.....

I am still quite stuck on a name for her........now I know she does not have to be named....but I want to call it something that wil be easy to identify it by........but the name "Striped Yellowbelly" sucks in my opinion.......and I want to stay away from the words...."Genetic Stripe" as that is being used for the recessive form of stripe.......so what to call her........

Any ideas???????

Here are a couple pics.....ENJOY!!!

Definitely my favorite ball this year! You win the prize Jared!

Kinda looks like a striped blonde blood when you first look at it.

How about calling it a blood ball? Or something along those lines..

What ever you decide to call it, it won't matter. That is a wicked little animal.

How about Borneo Ball? Definately has the pattern of a Short-tail Python. Very nice.....

I would guess too many people would think it was a cross and not just a ball python morph with that name. Granted I think it would be very fitting, but could see it raising a lot of questions or dislike if people think its crossed.

Just my opinion,

Considering the Borneo Ball and Super Ball (which is a Marble Borneo cross).........a name with blood or borneo in it would mislead a lot of people into believing this ball is a hybrid.

Gorgeous Ball Jared! Congrats on such a beautiful discovery.......jmo....stay away from those two "key" words for it's name.

SHE LOOKS LIKE SHES HALF BLOOD PYTHON SHE IS BEAUTIFUL

Sasheena Oct 06, 2004 12:04 AM

I think that is the right name for those ancient waterways found in europe and italy? Her markings remind me of those ancient aqueducts, and it would be a distinctive name.

Flame Striped - For the stripe (obviously) and the orange and yellow sides.

I wouldnt use anything that had a blood python reference in the name, use flame, fire, or nuclear stripe. Best wishes,Mark Petros

BackBeat Oct 06, 2004 12:23 PM

Fire stripe might lead some to believe it's a cross with the visible hets from Eric Davies line of leucistics (the 'Fire' Balls).

Nuclear, or better yet Flame Stripe sounds good.

But how will it look as an adult and will the name still 'fit?'

Regardless, the best looking new morph this season, hands down.

That is an absolutely stunning animal. Congratulations to you! The blood python resemblance is strong as others said, but suggesting a cross would be confusing, so how about calling her a Plasma Ball?

SPLENDID BALL OR
HARLEQUIN OR
TAPESTRY OR
KING HENRY OR
SHAKESPEARE STRIPE OR
CITRINE STRIPE OR
18 KARAT OR WHATEVER KARAT
CANARY STRIPE
HORENSTRIPE

I could do this all day it is fun. Many of these play on the 'royal' theme in your company name.

There are still tons of names available.

Congratulations. Nice snake is an understatement.
