Hey Carl; I was curious to know what and how many times a week do you feed your large unicolors. I have one about 7.5' and I feed him 2x's a week. I feed him 2 med. rats then wait 2 days then 2 large rats. After these feedings he still "hunts" around the enclosure. Just some tips nothing more than that...

HassanBT, My big 8 1/2' foot male eats small to medium rats and chicken legs...He'll eat 3 or 4 rats at a time if I let him, but lately I have been using a lot of chicken legs and he wolfs them down...I do not like to feed items that make any of snakes "look" like they've just eaten....I want to have to look at my log to know when the last time they ate...I'd rather feed more often than too big an item..Try the chicken legs or the wing drum, my snakes are loving them and they are a heck of a lot cheaper than rats!!

He and my other bigger Dry's are esentially my food disposals...If someone else doesn't eat right away, the big boys get it...I only leave food items in the cages of my finicky eaters...The majority take food off of tongs and if they refuse, their not hungry...

I heard some guys guys say you can't "over feed" a Dry..Probably true...My big ones will go on fasts for 4-6 weeks at a time without regard to season...Never have really figured it out, except autoregulation of their own...Hope this helps..Carl

Thank you alot Carl G. I think I will give the drums a chance, I'll try and "trick" him into consuming them a little after the tail of the rat is going down. But thanks for the info forreal I will try to use it to the best of my knowledge.
