set up idea

ok, did anyone see Vivarium set up on page 80 of July 2004 Reptile magazine?

it's got a ten gallon tank, filled 3/4 full of decomposed granite, with a "reptile den" buried up against the glass, so you can see the leopard gecko.

i want to build a similar setup, with two dens (one normal, one with damp moss)

i think it's an awesome idea.

i'd used a 20 long most likely. one little gecko, so he can grow.

i'm still debating. i just got a new corn snake, and don't know if i really want to expand to leopards or just stick with corns. i want a few more corns.

Are you talking bout the one where they had all the tunnels and the genie lamp?? I saw it if that's the one you're talking about. It's very nice looking but they use sand and I strongly advise not to. It would also be hard to clean out. If you are willing to take time to empty the whole thing out or maybe take your gecko to the vet if it gets impacted then go ahead and use the idea. Don't get me wrong it's a very nice cage I just think it would be too much work/chances to take.
