How can you tell if a pacman is hibernating or just plain hiding? Also can anyone tell me how they look like when they hibernate?

How can you tell if a pacman is hibernating or just plain hiding? Also can anyone tell me how they look like when they hibernate?
When a horned frog burmates, it will close its eyes and form a waxy cocoon around itself to keep in the moisture. This is for the dry season in the region they hail from. The frog can hold in moisture for months waiting for the rains to come again.
