geckos777 Oct 06, 2004 11:38 AM

hey, i have a 29 gal high tank that i wanted to lay down on its side for my leo. i already know how i wanted to decor it, i wanted to try tiles since i hear good things. my question is has anybody used a tank laid down on its side and how would i go about with light and heat since the screen is going to be in the front rather then on top. i realy want to get this tank setup soon cause i realy want to move my leo i have now into it and get her a mate at the hamberg PA show the 16th

I have heard of people laying a tank on it's side before and I considered doing it myself a while ago. As far as heating goes a UTH can stick to the glass and be fine. I don't know how you'd hook up the lighting but it's not neccessary for leos so if you can't it wouldn't be bad. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
