I can't pinpoint the problem.......

I got a baby water daragon about a month ago. He seems to be doing fine, eating and pooping, basking on his log, and taking dips in his water. He is still a little skitish and will run when I walk up to his cage but this has calmed down alot since he first came home.

Anyway I am concerned, he is quite dark in coloration. I have checked his temps and he gets fresh warm water usually twice a day. What could be causing him to be dark?

Generally speaking, dark color in lizards means they are stressed about something. What size tank is he in? Double check that he has plenty of hiding spaces, with CWD in particular, they seem to freak out if they are visable. Especially the babies. Is he rubbing his nose along the glass? I would try using paper or paint to cover the sides and the back of the tank, leaving just the front open for viewing. You might find this helps to calm him down. Also, refrain from holding him until he seems to have settled in properly.
