The temps are perfect, they live in a 24 x 12 x 12 cage. They are yearlings and look good size. Why arent they eating? Please help......thank you

Are you keeping the two together? If so, separate them into their own permanaent cages and your problem will probably be solved.
Also, IMO, i think separating snakes out into "feeding" containers or cages, disrupts some snakes focus on feeding response. I have found this especially true of more shy or nervous species. To break it down, after the snake has been moved from an environment it is used to and is comfortable in to a new container, the last thing on its mind will be feeding. It has just been handled and then put into a container of foreign, unidentifiable smells. That can occupy a snake so much that feeding is of its last priority. I highly recommmend you feed them where they live. If not, that is fine maybe for down the road when they are established voracious little eaters. But if feeding is an issue for them and they are not doing enough of it to prosper, I think it is worth the trouble of getting another cage.
Good luck.

Hey Yasser... GREAT NEWS for me I fed both of them in their cage and they both ate!!! Thats a big suprise because Ive been trying to feed them 1 time per 2 12 weeks for the past 3-4 months. They were eating great but then they just stopped eating outside their cages. My question is is it safe to always feed in the cage? They are only childrens so I dont think its a risk to feed these tiny guys in their cages. The only thing I do is when I feed them I seperate one of them so they dont get tangled and fight for the food. Thanks again Yasser.. I OWE U
