...what these have been producing don't look like what the adults did as neonates. The originating adults don't look like their offspring babies. I have two Peanut Butter male adults and someone else has a third. So there is only three adult male Peanut Butters in existence. I produced the first EVER female Peanut Butters this year. It will be interesting to see what a PB to PB will produce.

this year I produced a lot of light colored ones:
See how the one looks more like the founding stock:

A dark male I produced this year:
Now I also produced some that are very light colored (almost pink), but I need to take pics and post them later. I really liked the dark colored ones so that is why I have pics of those. A lot of varience on these.
The peanutbutter male I got from you just ate 2f/t pinks and 2 f/t fuzzies. He's approaching 2 feet. The 2 hets haven't eaten mice yet but I did feed them each a young garter about a week ago, which they both devoured alive, I had a problem with that in that I wished they had killed their food first. Nature doesn't give a crap about my sensibilities.
Both Axanthics are eating f/t without any problems.
Any suggestions on getting the hets eating?

I have not had any problems getting any of my PB hets to eat. I never had to resort to scenting or feeding snakes to a single Peanut Butter.
Is it possible you did not wait long enough for them to get hungry? Some of mine held out for two sheds before taking their first meal. I beleive that feeder snakes should only be used if a snake is near starvation. The problem with feeding snakes to snakes is they imprint so strongly that you might have a longer battle getting them switched to mice. Hopefully, with the PB's I am wrong on this.
Now I have had some problems getting some of my sulfer line snows to eat pinks. I am waiting on water snakes from Jeff as I write.
I was mostly posting an update. I've been studying the male's color and have a few thoughts:
-The melanin is cinnamon/peanutbutter brown in color
-The melanin is not reduced in area (like a hypom)
-The normaly melanistic areas are not more erythristic, there are distinct orange portionswithin the pattern as you would find on most s.fla.
Once you're sure you have worked out a couple of lines (light, dark)might you bring them together with your yellow line?
