Why do you have all your kings in your hand while feeding? Don't you think the snakes would be more comfortable eating in a cage? I would guess you get bit a lot too? Do you actually feed like this every meal or only when you're trying to get pictures? Just wondering. Tom
My best snakes don't have any problem eating in my hand. Of the 70 colubrids in my collection only about 30 will co-operate most of the other 40 have absolute fits, so they get fed in feeding tubs only, otherwise they will mass stress, and anybody that knows snakes knows that's about the worse thing that could happen to a captive snake. About getting bit, thats a risk when hand feeding snakes and it happens and it can be bloody and painful. I have running water and a sink in my snake room and if one of my animals lock down on a finger all i have to do is submerge them and it usualy only takes a short while for the snake to let go. Anyway, I like taking pics of snakes eating and if my snakes don't mind eating in my hand that's fine with me. John
