males fighting

i have 1 male and 2 female RES. i am adopting a male from a guy about half an hour away becuase he is moving and wants to downsize his turtles. im getting a 75 gal aquaium filter the works for $30 and the turtles are free. they are in my basement now because it is cold outside. anyway when i put them out side next spring will the males fight over both of the females or what should i do. any thing would help

If the other three are happy together, they may gang up on the new turtle because he is new. There is a huge possibility that they will fight. I would keep them apart, unless you have a really huge pond and are willing to risk it. Turtles can do a lot of damage to each other, I have heard of turtles ending up with no feet.

i had the one male and one female and put in the other female and i havent had any problems. i dont want to risk it tho. thanks for the help
