Black and white mudsnake . . . . finally. . . the pics!

Here it is. Sorry for the low quality. I will have this new camera figured out by this weekend and post another pic by then.
I think it's a female and about 3.5 feet long. found it crossing the road in the afternoon on Oct 3, 2004 here in NC.

Here's a better look at the bright white belly of this snake. Some of my neighbors saw it and swore it was a Kingsnake!

Very nice looking snake! It's a shame their range doesn't extend into Ontario. If I can get mine figured out I'd like to get an anery.

BTW - My western's still alive and healthy aside from feeding problems. I just called PCPC, the place that I'd bought him from, and asked them how they were keeping him. They said they had him in rubbermaid of sphagnum and tease fed hoppers. I have some amphiuma coming in soon and will try some scenting; in the mean time I will change to PCPCs housing and try tease feeding.
