Linda,
..Bill Lamar is a herpetologist and naturalist who has done extensive field work all over Central and South America. He has written several books about tropical reptiles and has edited several others. Before herpetoculture was such a big deal with so many people involved Bill was the one person most responsible for letting herp enthusiasts know about Rainbow Boas. His name became synonymous with beautiful Brazilian Rainbow Boas and any of them with especially bright crescents on the sides were, and often still are called "Lamar Phase" Brazilian Rainbow Boas. Bill currently is one of the tour guides for the Green Tracks ecotourism company. I think this is just one of the many things he currently does. Hopefully someone can update us on what else Bill has been doing lately. Green Tracks takes people into several different South American locations for some great tours. They have half a dozen or so different guides for their tours. Terry VenderVenter whom has occasionally posted here on the forum is a herpetologist who also is one of the guides for Green Tracks. Terry's company Arco Iris herpetoculture has produced lots of truly beautiful snakes through the years. If I was going on one of the Green Tracks tours I would especially want to go on one guided by either Bill or Terry.

>>I certainly am not interested in any more purchases.....except caging. I was wondering who this Lamar guy/gal is? I see this name enough to recognize it but I have no idea who it is. I'm prompted to ask because of some pics I saw in KS Classified, but it seems to be in my memory that BCI have also this breeding. I'm starting to recognize quite a few names but his is unknown to me although I have seen it mentioned for several years.

>>Could someone please enlighten me? This may be a little off topic, but I still would like to know.
