For those that feed their herps Silkworms, and /or Butterworms...
Where do you buy them? Silkworms are easy, but many of the butterworm dealers seem to be in Canada.
Has anyone raised silkworms in bulk from eggs?

I've raised silkworms from eggs before. Messy little suckers! It's not hard at all, actually. I bought one kit from Mulberry Farms and they hatch and develop pretty quickly- maybe I was doing it wrong but I had a huge mess and ended up throwing away the rubbermaid containers I kept them in. They created a huge web-like structure of silk, poo and sheds.
I fed them the mixture supplied by Mulberry. I heard that once you switch them to real leaves, they never go back to eating the mix. I started out in the petri dish and kept getting larger and larger rubbermaid containers as they grew. It seems like I couldn't feed enough to my geckos, I was pretty over populated (I only had 8 geckos at the time).
Hey there,

Steven

I just ran a search using the word butterworm, and came up with a few suppliers in Canada.
Give it a shot
the only two suppliers in Canada I know of is silkworms.ca and port credit pets. As for american suppliers, I was able to find the following:
