HE DID IT!

Thera Jun 27, 2003 07:13 PM

The little one finally got out of the egg... after about a 7 hour long nap, lol. He's gone back to napping again, definitely his mother's child :P

Isn't that a cute litlle thing. He's a snow X light normal. Awe!

Ok, this little guys out, but no one else is even trying yet... do I just have an over achiever on my hands or what? Lol. I'm not too worried about them tho, I candled them just the other night and they were all wigglin' and happy... well more annoyed cos I was candling them. I'm betting more will be pippin' out come morning.

But anyone ever have it where the first one hatches out completely while the rest of the clutch just is lazy?

Yes just the other day I had a clutch hatch, and I think it was maybe Tuesday the one was completely out running around and no others were even pipping. By the following evening though they were all either out or had their heads poking out. I also had a clutch once that hatched over about a two week period and they were all fine, and all hatched. Just nature taking its course.

I hope mine don't take 2 weeks to hatch, I've got 1000 crickets arriving tuesday for them to chow on... eeek

(Until they arrive I've got a LPS that I'll get crickets from if need be, well probably for Lil'Pip here definitely tomorrow or later)

Normally for the first day or even first few days, they will not eat, they still have the yolk sac that they normally absorb when coming out of the egg. Also it isnt normal for it to take two weeks, lol, was just that one clutch.

Awesome dragon, especially for coming right out of the egg. I would like to see how that little one is in a few weeks to see how it develops.....congrats!!
