Yeah, I'm like you, usually holding them as they eat. At a certain point/size, though, mine stopped wanting to be held while eating, and would refuse the mouse until they were put on the floor.

Most of my cali's have done exactly what you described, that's why i just about never have any in hand feeding pics of THEM! And i'd like say again that the snake you just posted the pic of is one hell of a screamer.
