Pearlco 250-W Heat Emitters

sctortplace Oct 07, 2004 10:33 PM

Am desparately trying to find some ASAP, and it appears most of the regular suppliers are out, with only the hope of some more coming in by late October? Anyone have any idea of dealers who might have some in stock?

Thanks! Steve

Looks like everyone is out; maybe there's been a shipping or distribution problem. If you're really desperate, my only other suggestion would be to see if you could buy from one of the UK dealers. That might not be worth the trouble, but if you really need them...

did you check out them Black Heat Infrared Ceramic Emitters from bigappleherp.com (NYC) which claims these are commercial grade (!?!) they had the 250-W (Pearlco equivalent?) for about $24 bucks...might want to post an enquiry to see how folks on this forum fare them...

I own two of these Big Apple Herp emitters,
and have not had good results. One has failed
mechanically (threads separated from the ceramic
part,) and while the other one "works," it just
does not throw heat like the Pearlco.

Thanks for the suggestion, though!

is that why they're on sale...someone along these post also mentions about other pop name products which screwed up so fast it's unbelievable

Take a look at
http://www.reptileuv.com/megaheat.htm

No connection with the vendor, except for being a satified customer.

I have two of those Megaheat's also. As you know,
they're pretty low wattage, and I think they do a
good job for that power level with their, as they call
it, "soft heat." What I'm setting up here, though, is
an application that requires much more juice and heat.

Saw some HE on eBay this afternoon; don't remember brand but at least one was 250-W.
