my 3' american alligator try to eat his filter. he broke it open and he eat the insert. the pc he eat was 3" x 4". what can i do ? do you think he could pass it ? thanks

My caiman broke and ate the filter basket. He spit it back up a couple days later with all the furrballs. You gator will do the same

It could regurgitate it or stay in the stomach. Give it a couple days. If it doesnt spit it up by then I would contact the vet. They could attempt a stomach flush may even have to perform surgery.
