pre-killed prey

bootsofleather Oct 08, 2004 12:53 PM

Just an easy question for you all. I've been feeding live mice since I got my ball and now that I want to move up to rats, I want to pre-kill them for safety reasons. What is the cleanest most efficient way to do this at home? Don't really want to deal with freezing and unthawing though. Thanks.

Chris

In the feeder forum they talk about Co2 chambers. That would probably be the most humane/cleanest way to do it. I used to put the rats in plastic bags and bang them on the tile floor, but as my collection grew I just started feeding them live.
