Crickets a MUST?

ksuvanto Oct 08, 2004 04:35 PM

I was thinking about getting another bearded dragon (no longer have one) and I was wondering if they absolutely MUST be fed crickets? I really dislike having them and they smell bad.

What size Bearded? an Adult can feed on Super worms alone supplemented with Bearded dragon Pellets and tons of Fruits and green... I never fed Crickets to my female as a staple diet, only when I had extra after feeding my geckos.

Yah, but difficult to raise, I ordered some.. 3 orders from Mulberry farms.. No problem with food, I have a fruitless mulberry in my yard.. but they die rather quickly in heat

and our Drako is NOT overweight! They are slightly higher in fat than crickets--but not as much as other "treats/staple" insects. As with any food "balance" is the key. We use a lot fewer silkworms than crickets.
