im looking to get a cham, most likely a veiled. anyway i was wondering if anyone has ordered from raging reptiles or http://www.crestedgecko.com/crestedgecko/Chameleons.htm? i was wondering if any of these are reputable since they are offering the chams i want at a great price. any help would be appreciated

Hi - I have not ordered from either though I think there have been threads on raging reptiles so you may want to search the archives.

I went to http://www.crestedgecko.com/crestedgecko/Chameleons.htm and here are my observations:

1- they are selling one month old chams which is way to young to begin with - especially if you have never had chams before. I am sure other responsible keepers on the forum would agree. As cute and cheap as they might be you may end up losing it altogether or have some hefty vet bills.

2- in the photos of their breeders they show 2 females (center second row) they look awfully young to be breeding.

These are just my personal observations and opinions. I would recommend buying form a reputable breeder and spending a little more.

check out kammerflage - more expensive but you know what you are getting and they know what they are doing

ya, i have to agree w/ him kuz i mean just the site alone they probably only specialize in designer crested geckos and have do deal w/ chams to ?, haha i'd go w/ kammerflage atleast they are dependable from my experiance, email the guy first, he's VERY informative w/ you and helps you anytime u need help, i believe private breeders are the way to go, plus 1 month old are a little young, to young to pick up signs of any problems so it might be hassle when learning, go w/ 8 week olds AT THE YOUNGEST!
