All of my cages are from (AP) Animal Plastics (http://animalshare.wantapet.com/animalplastics/index.html) and I have found them to be the best out there for my Tegus.

While I have yet to see a cage specifically marketed towards Tegus/Monitors out there on the web, I think AP have the closest thing. They are screw together cages made out of plastic.

There is a lot of talk about substrate depth for Tegus. I see 3 inches to 2 feet suggested. And the suggestions are being made by reputable people so I am not so sure there is a correct answer.

Since most cages out there are for snakes or other type of well known lizards, there are small litter dams in most of these cages. AP has 8 to 10 inch litter dams on the cages I own.

The only problem is AP is backed up so getting it soon is not going to happen.

I have looked at the following websites for cages when I was shopping around....
http://www.moonstruckexotics.com/6ft_constrictor_caging.htm
http://www.boaphileplastics.com/
http://www.junglehabitats.com/page7.html
http://www.kingsnake.com/visionherp/
http://www.customcages.com
http://www.cagesbydesign.com/

And no, I do not work, sell, or anything else for any of these companies including AP, I am just giving my opinion on hours of research about each company, their materials, the people, etc..
