Doubling up old/new lights

chunks_89 Oct 08, 2004 09:07 PM

I have a double bulb 48" fluorescant fixture in which I have my brand new reptiglo 8.0 bulb with my 6 1/2 month old bulb of same make and model.

After the six months is there ANY UV output? If there is, I may run into D3 overdoses=not good.

I just want some more light and don't want to use a terribly coloured fluorescant bulb from the hardware store. They make the chams' colours look pooey.

That's on two adult female veileds, one of which will be bred this week. One of them rarely lays clutches, the other is a freeking egg machine.
