Okay, here's your chance to tell your big snake stories. I have seen some garter breeders claim they raised females that gave birth at less than a year old. I have a red-sided born in July '04 that is 20" overall( maybe 17 or 18 svl).I think she'll be breeder-size by spring.Is this unusually rapid growth? How fast are you garter breeders getting your snakes to breeding size? And most importantly, to what do you attribute your success? What is your best tip for healthy, quick-growing breeders?
