personalities

i am thinking about getting a milksnake (probably of the honduran type) and was wondering what type of dispositions they normally have, in taming/handling etc...
i know all snakes vary within the individual, but is there sort of an overall typical personality with them?
the only other snake i own is a ball python so i'm wondering how the two compare.
thanks.

I keep both regius and hondurensis and can honestly tell you hondurans have much more appealing personalities, hondurans are spazzy and wiggly as hatchlings but soon learn we mean them no harm and become corn snake tame (don't let anyhone tell you otherwise), I have an extensive colony of hondurans and none are alike in personality, they all have their very own caracteristics, some wiggle their tail in anticipation of being fed, some come right out of their container and sit on the lip watching your every move. I have a few older ones that just calmly take their F/T rodent out of your palm and start chowing in your hands. With regular handling between meals they become very good subjects to interact with...

Good luck...

I have an '03 tangerine dream honduran. he was very wiggly as a baby but has calmed down. i handle him as often as i can.he has never tried to bite me and only musked me once when i first got him. the only thing i don't like about him is he hides 24/7. i debated about finding him a home because i hardly ever see him unless i take him out.
as he has gotten bigger he is coming out more now so i think i'll keep him.
other then him hiding all the time...he eats great and is turning in to a pleasure to hold and interact with. i read honduran can get to 6 foot so i want to see if "zorro" gets that big..

he was a rescue, and we got him as an adult. I also had two hondurans that I got as hatchlings, and although they were nervous and fast, they never tried to bite. I don't think that they even musked. They are quite different from a ball python, though. The more you handle hondurans, the calmer they get. If I go more than a week without handling M.C., he does get a bit jerky.
