My Mom recorded it for me as she knows im a snake nut, I had seen the vauge comercals on Animal Planet so I sat Down to watch it. With in 15 min I stopped it so I could watch the rest of it with my GF (a fellow herp lover). I was shocked that animal planet was airing this sort of crap! Of the animals I saw him handle NONE of them were handled responsibly and safely. I was appaled how they made the retics sound, emphasizing that they are "man eaters". All this right after an intro of him rolling around on the ground with a large retic BY HIMSELF, tangled up saying, "you dont want a snake like this wraped around you!" So why the hell did he have a snake like that wapped around him?

Its propaganda like this that hurt our hobby. People are going to see this show, then see it again in reruns, then tell their friends about the man eater they saw on the TV, and if Animal Planet aired it it MUST be true! Next thing you know retics are banned everywhere...

This isnt the first time animal planet has produced something like this. Some of you may have seen "The Big Squeeze". That was basicaly one hour of telivison targeted to stir up fear in people of large snakes. The stories were unrealistic, and very one sided...

Im going to watch the rest of the show today, and I am almost afraid of what I am going to see. I hate how the media slants the truth for the sake of rateings, even if by doing so it devoids its self of any educational use....

Of course I watched it. I am getting sick of how animal planet is going now days. Used to it was you know educational stuff. Now it's all about the money. I have disliked this guy since I saw his first one, something like 7 deadly strikes. The thing that realy made me mad was when he was acting like he was dreaming about that retic constricting him. I wish it was a real 30 footer constricting him. People liek this is the worst thing ever to this hobby. "showouts" as I call them, do nothing but try to make them out as he did on his show and act like he is all brave by catching it (very roughly too). All he is is a photograper who likes to be photgraped with 3D angles to make it something like the matrix movies whiel he is supposedly wrestling snakes. You can tell the snakes have been cooled off and they just pretty much dangle when he is wrappign them around him. I wish Irwin and steven would get into a fight.lol. Sure enough they stevens would have those cameras set up everywhere and get 3D shots of him taking a good beatign form Irwin.

ok, so i watched the rest of the show.. the dream was HORRIBLE... I want to know when it seemed like a good idea to jump out of a tree with a mangrove snake, bashing its head on the ground in the process, and then at what point was it a good idea to put it in his mouth?!

If you have a soft shell that could "take off a finger", as stated seconds before, why put your foot in its mouth?

::sigh:: im done with this... why does animal planet have to suck? At one point AP was educational, and my fav channel.. It just reminds me of MTV, who used to play music....

I was cheering the retic on! I don't like this guy at all.....he's very careless and his so-called teachings/advice only add more negative influence to the general public who do not like snakes. His dumba$$ got tagged by a black cobra while doing his King Cobra special...he was lucky that the Gaboon Viper did not tag his a$$....now wrestling with a large retic by himself as if it's WWF.....oh and don't forget the way he was handling the krait.....this dumba$$ is going to whinned up dead and since he is an Animal Planet "star"......boy will that add a sh!t load of negative influence to our hobby.

I also don't like the way Animal Planet is heading with their some programs. I can't stand that show Venom ER.......the general public already hate snakes and seeing on film everyday what venom does to some victims only creates more hate for venomous snakes.......and since most of these people can not identify the difference between a Broadband Water Snake and a Cottonmouth......it just puts all snakes at more risk of being killed.

I thought Animal Planet was about the love for ALL animals.....yet lately....their reptile specials are not portraying any positive messages. We know the difference between right and wrong.....but we are a minority and we can't count on Steve getting the right message across because they (reptile haters) want to hang him for his stunt with his son.

well i watched it thinking o great will be the demon this time and was shooked to see my puncy's cusin getting the man eater thing tattoo all over her i even asked my mom to watch and she hates snakes but said none of your snakes act that way at all its sad to see ap going this way i miss irwin at least his funny talking was educational what a beut!!
