Can ParaZap start working after 4 doses? O_o

shopunke Oct 09, 2004 10:43 AM

So far I have given Tobias and Novia four doses each of the parazap tea, and the crix are being powdered in it. Now, when they say "gently expells the parasites and their eggs"... is that nicer terms of saying "makes them poop a lot" ?! I've had to clean 11 bowel movements in the past two and a half days. But I'll tell you what- Novia is really beginning to eat more. Tobias is just sort of lounging around, waiting for me to give him the meds. He loves the tea!

I noticed something today though. Novia had a lot of sand in her left eye, it was just a LITTLE bit gunky, too. So I very gently cleaned and rinsed it, and now she's able to open it better. Is this common with the sand substrate?

Thanks to all of you for your constant help!!

yes, they will go more, and good that your cleaning it and removing it quickly. Also thats a good sign that Novia is eating more. It does increase there appetite.

What kind of sand are you using? Most of us use washed playsand.
Sometimes they get a hunk in their eye but they bulge their eyes (weird looking, and clean it out)

Hope your not using calci sand, IT IS NO DARN GOOD, I do NOT recommend it at all!

Glad your buddies are eating !

I'm not sure what sand I'm using... but we paid ten bucks a bag for it! X_x;

All I know is that it said it was perfect for Collared Lizards and they seem to be loving it. It is not "Calci-sand" and no where on the package did it say it was made from calcium.

So.. uh... I don't remember.
