New nicaraguan acquisition...Very red, hard to photograph but she is pretty cool....

robertmcphee Oct 09, 2004 10:17 PM

This girl came from Claude Davis. She is a very interesting Nicaraguan. Cant wait for her to grow up, she should improve and color up more with each shed (fingers crossed). Ill take some more pics after she sheds. She almost has a hypo look to her, very little black with an exaggerated amount of red in her. Let me know what you guys think--

Opinion poll--
Do I breed her with my type II anery male to produce hets to breed back to her (to turn all of that red into black) or

Do I breed my hypo male Nicaraguan with her to help accentuate the red?

Granted it will be a couple of years away...not soon enough by the way.

Thanks for your opinions
Bob

Just my opinion. Either way you can't go wrong. I like her a lot. Chris Ginkel

Isn't she a hypo? I don't know much about Nicaraguans, but she really looks hypo to me. The only black I see is on the end of her tail. I love her coloring!

really knows. It has been quite a deal acquiring these beautiful animals. Especially when they were much more affordable. Here is a male hypo Nic I bought from Ben Siegel a couple of years ago when they were about a fifth of what they go for now. Ill know more about the genetics of these nice boas as I start getting the ones I have to breeding size, and through some hard work and dedication I may be able to unlock the genetics in these colorful little boas.

Thanks
Bob
