What kind of King?

EB924 Oct 10, 2004 12:52 AM

Sorry i don't have a pic right now, i'll hopefully get one soon, but i was hoping someone might know wha kind of Cal King i just adopted (at least i think it's a cal).
This snake is almost all white except for a black disjointed stripe going down it's back. It also has some black markings on it's head. From what i've heard the name is something like a reverse striped cal king. I haven't seen any pics of a similar snake in the AVS Kingsnake book i've looked at.
I work at a pet store (one of the few good ones) and a customer apparently gave the snake to us because they didn't want it anymore. I wasn't there the day he gave it to us but i can imagine he didn't want it because it was a biter. Not sure if it was wild caught or CB because i do live in California. Anyway, a friend at work brought it home for a few months and it has since tamed down a lot and grown quite a bit. He also took it to a reptile store and asked what it was. That's where i got the name i mentioned above. He now has given the snake to me. I hope someone can identify it with the discription i gave. If not i'll get a pic of when i have some time.

Sounds like what you described: High White Reverse Stripe California Kingsnake. And I would say, Captive Bred.

Would love to see a pic.
